A Western Australian buyer has snapped up a multimillion-dollar Surf Coast home in just 11 days despite never personally laying eyes on the property.

Christmas came early for the sellers of 10 Regal Rd, Jan Juc, who scored an unexpected present with the $2.125m sale of their four-bedroom house.

A buyers’ advocate brokered the deal with McCartney, Torquay agent Tim Carson, who said the new owner was planning to relocate.

Mr Carson said the timing was finally right for the vendors amid the coastal market resurgence.

“We had actually tried to sell it previously and had no luck, two years ago, I think it’s just a matter of the way the market is – it’s certainly on the improve,” he said.

“And this one being in the location it was and being built by Dennehys, in the end I actually had a couple of people interested, there was just one party that was unable to do anything quickly.”

He said while the investor and holiday home markets were still slow in the area, demand was stronger among owner occupiers, particularly for properties priced from $900,000 to $1.5m.

The house is close to clifftop walks and the surf.

The kitchen has high-end appliances and a central island bench.

A tightly held location, just one street back from the Surf Coast walking trail, boosted the appeal of this 586sq m property.

Dual decks provide options for summer entertaining off the first floor open-plan living space, which has expansive valley views.

“It had a lot of versatility, it could have been five bedrooms, you could have an office to work from home, two living areas, room for a pool,” Mr Carson said.

The 2.13ha property with a private gateway to the Surf Coast Walk sold for an undisclosed price in the $2.85m-$2.95m range three days before Christmas.

“That was really cool and that moved well, for acreage which has been pretty poor, that moved with about six weeks,” Mr Carson said.
