2/8-10 Notts Ave, Bondi Beach sold for $12.75m in September.
Billionaire fund manager Will Vicars has added to his collection of unique coastal properties, snapping up a Bondi Beach apartment with iconic views for $12.75m.
It’s the two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment at 2/8-10 Notts Ave previously owned by high profile New Zealand property investor, Ben Cook, that sold via Alex Lyons and Charlie Davies of Raine and Horne Double Bay.
It’s currently up for rent on realestate.com.au for $6.500 per week.
The deal was done in September, but both agents have been silent on the mystery purchaser ever since. However, a search of recent settlements reveals a company owned by Vicars was behind it.
The Caledonia Investments joint chief investment officer, 59, already owns FOUR penthouses in the Pacific Bondi development on Campbell Pde, being one off the plan for $10.05m in 2012; its neighbour the following year for $10.9m and a third in 2016 to create a $32m super apartment as a beach pad away from his Point Piper home.

Cook, 48, who has frequented New Zealand’s rich list for several years, purchased his Bondi Beach 150sqm pied a terre in 2015 for $3.925m, but has since undertaken a complete internal rebuild with Stewart + Stewart Interior Designers.
When it was listed earlier in the year, Lyons had said it was the best apartment in Bondi: “It’s got to be the most tasteful renovation I’ve ever seen and has the best views.”
Cook had done a stylish refurbishment of the 150sqm apartment.
It has an internal courtyard.
“A lot of places in Bondi Beach are facing east or south, but this apartment is north-facing which is pretty rare.”
The designer property has curated interiors which complement the dramatic ocean backdrop and make the most of the natural northerly light.
The kitchen features Gaggenau ovens, a Vintec fridge, Wolf induction cooktops, a large island bench, plus an integrated fridge and dishwasher.
