The property is described as “beyond repair”.

A Queensland house on the market is so damaged buyers cannot inspect inside but that hasn’t stopped huge interest in the block.

The property, in the city of Ipswich west of Brisbane, is described as “beyond repair” and to be sold as a “knockdown opportunity”.

28 Russell Street, Silkstone is up for sale.

The property is an 809sq m block.

Agent Hayley Picker of NGU Real Estate – Ipswich is marketing the 809sq m property at 28 Russell St, Silkstone and said she had it under contract within three days.

“I’ve been inundated with calls about this property,” said Ms Picker, who declined to reveal the sale price.

“It’s had eight written offers without anybody even viewing it and I even had to cancel the first open home.”

She said the buyer planned to build a duplex on the block.

“Everybody was wanting to do the exact same thing,” she said.

“Yes, the house needs to be knocked down but buyers can see the potential and most wanted to build a duplex.”
