The sky home atop Tim Gurner’s Saint Moritz apartment complex comes with expansive bay views.

Former media boss Antony Catalano’s St Kilda penthouse has been withdrawn from public sale.

However, industry sources have indicated the Cat is still hoping to sell the property despite it disappearing from online listing sites in the past week.

It’s the second time the luxurious, $29.95m penthouse with bay and city views has had its marketing pulled, with advertising online paused in March this year as allegations of domestic violence and assault involving his wife Stefanie emerged.

In March he was bailed after being charged with assaulting and threatening to kill Stefanie, who is also the mother of four of his children.

He has also attended rehabilitation after the charges became public, and later that month the home’s listing was back online.

The former co-owner of Australian Community Media and wife Stefanie, who works as a DJ, had already been seeking to sell their St Kilda penthouse in Tim Gurner’s luxurious Saint Moritz complex.

The pair own another impressive residence in Byron Bay in NSW.

After launching the sales attempt for their Melbourne sky home with a major advertisement wrapped around a national newspaper in 2025, securing a sale has been a long process.

The penthouse spans two storeys in an exclusive St Kilda complex.

While initially listed with a $33m-$36m asking price, its latest guide had been $29.95m prior to it being pulled from online listing portals.

While he purchased the property off the plan from Gurner, it is understood Mr Catalano and his family paid $30m for the residence in 2019.

In the past year he has also listed the home for rent at $20,000 a week.

The double-storey penthouse features a six-bedroom and seven-bathroom floorplan spanning 700sq m over two storeys.

Other inclusions run from double-height ceilings to Gaggenau kitchen appliances, a children’s retreat near their bedrooms and a media room.

Expansive views, including from its own pool and spa, as well as a main entertainment space with a custom bar built into it are also among the features.

The home also comes with a number of secure basement carparks.

Saint Moritz residents also have access to a 25m lap pool, a gym, yoga room and cinema, as well as valet parking and a concierge.

Marshall White agents previously associated with the listing declined to comment on the home’s disappearance from listings.

However, industry insiders have indicated Mr Catalano is still seeking a sale — just not actively advertising the property.

They noted that the likelihood was that those with the means to buy the home locally were now well aware of its availability and continued advertising might have lower odds now of uncovering a buyer.

More broadly, top-end buyer’s advocate Matthew Cleverdon said he would anticipate more sales would go behind the scenes in the latter half of this year for Melbourne’s elite as they sought to keep pricing more discreet “while the market is a bit more uncertain”.

Impressive bay views are on display in the home’s lounge room and formal dining space.

A city view from the home’s infinity-edge pool adds to the appeal.

In a statement after his arrest earlier this year Mr Catalano acknowledged his actions had “caused hurt and concern for others, including the woman involved, my family, friends, colleagues and the many people connected to the businesses I have been privileged to lead”.

“I have been struggling with significant mental health and substance abuse issues. Those close to me have been urging me to seek professional help for some time and there have been interventions by close family and friends.”

He will be back in court on July 1.
