The eldest daughter of Wallabies legend Nick Farr-Jones and her husband have bought two neighbouring Vaucluse homes for circa $30m to use as a future family compound.

Jessica Farr-Jones, who is a Regal Funds Management portfolio manager, and her husband, Boris Dangubic of KKR’s private equity team, sold their stunning Hewlett St, Bronte residence last week for $13m via Ray White Double Bay top performing director Warren Ginsberg.

They’d bought that four-bedroom residence, which has a pool and impressive ocean views, for $9.6m in 2021.

Sources close to the couple advised they were upgrading to Vaucluse with the intention of creating a future compound, and now both their names have appeared on the caveat for two luxury residences in one of the suburb’s most exclusive streets.

Ginsberg is understood to have also been involved in the couple’s top secret off-market Vaucluse purchase — one of the biggest deals this year — though he had no comment when contacted.

Since the sale was done off-market, no marketing images exist, but the team at Million Dollar Listing Sydney have provided drone footage of the properties.

The upper levels of both residences would have iconic harbour views.

The two residences are in the name of car industry operative Brett Dale and his wife, Emma.

One is a five-bedroom home on a 1020sqm block with pool bought for $3.25m and the other is a three-bedroom home on a smaller 567sqm block bought for $2.46m in 2006.

Brett Dale is managing director at Australian Fleet Sales and also co-owner of OzCar.

It’s unclear if Jessica and Boris are simply buying the two homes as a future investment for their children — they currently have a four-year-old child — or if the intention is that one day parents may move in next door.

Jessica’s famous dad, Nick, now 64, is best known as the captain who led the Wallabies to their first Rugby World Cup victory in 1991, and has been married to his wife, Angela, for 37 years.

They have four kids, Jessica, Amy, Benjamin, and Joshua.

Nick has been a longtime North Shore resident and in 2018 he told the Daily Telegraph: “I feel so blessed and happy to live in East Lindfield … it’s a great community with great people, sporting facilities and good transport. I find it very non-pretentious.”

He is currently a director at Taurus Funds Management, a Sydney-based private equity and investment firm that invests in the global mining sector.

Farr-Jones is also a company director, a sought-after motivational speaker on leadership, and is heavily involved in charity work, notably chairing the board of the youth charity Stand Tall.
