A tiny, one-bedroom Melbourne apartment the size of a double car park is turning heads with its Transformers-style kitchen seemingly custom-made for the Uber Eats generation. Upon first inspection, the 23sq m residence at 21/98 Nicholson St, Fitzroy, seems to feature a balcony, a bedroom, a bathroom and a living area — and that’s it. But pull on a wooden handle and the kitchen starts to fold out into the living area, initially with one panel featuring shelves opening to a perpendicular wall — before a second panel slides across to reveal the fridge and wall off the bedroom and the entry to the home.
