5 Pride Ave, Hamlyn Heights, sold under the hammer at a hotly contested auction. Four bidders created a rare auction buzz around a renovated Hamlyn Heights home that sold near the top of the range. First-home buyers undeterred by last week’s interest rate rise secured the four-bedroom house at 5 Pride Ave for $925,000, in a result that bucked the city’s weak clearance rate. Jellis Craig Geelong agent Ryan Shelley said the agency was confident from the start that the well-presented 600sq m property would attract competition if priced correctly.
