A family house in Melbourne’s north that has hosted special Halloween and Christmas celebrations passed in on a $1m bid on the weekend. The three-bedroom home at 20 Brentwood Ave, Pascoe Vale South, went under the hammer with $1.1m-$1.15m price hopes. Owner Michelle McLean said she and her husband bought the residence in 1995. In 2006, after their daughter was born, Ms McLean’s husband wanted to purchase a bigger home. However, he had some convincing to do, as his wife loved the abode and the quiet street near a park, kindergarten and schools. But they moved out and Ms McLean’s father Arthur ended up renting the house.
