The block was considered the “jewel in the crown” at 10-12 Bay St, Mosman. A Sydney-based family has bought waterfront land that once formed part of Mosman’s largest harbourfont estate and managed to secure it for less than its $18.5m guide. The Bay St landholding, consisting of 2610sq m of land with boathouse, pontoon and marina access, was once part of a much bigger parcel with a colonial-style mansion, a swimming pool, a tennis court and gardens. The entire Bay St site was once the home of TV personalities Bob and Dolly Dyer, famous for hosting the Pick A Box show, who lived there until 1977. Then, for 34 years, it was the home of late billionaire car dealer Laurie Sutton and his family.
