Inside the six-star beachfront design turning heads in Surfers Paradise

2 days ago 11

In today’s market, there is a lot more to Gold Coast prestige living than just having an apartment near the surf.

Now, absolute beachfront views, striking architecture, and six-star wellness amenities are demanded by buyers seeking the ultimate lifestyle experience.

The challenge is, however, that these “blue chip” residences are not always easy to secure.

“Beachfront opportunities in a premium A-grade building, that are completed, are as rare as hen's teeth on the Gold Coast,” says Adrian Parsons, Managing Director of TOTAL Property Group.

One opportunity located directly on the beachfront and nearing completion is Royale Gold Coast, tucked in the tightly held Northcliffe Terrace pocket.

Developed by DD Living and with design led by Koos de Keizer of DKO Architects, the 104-home building will make its mark on the local skyline with its distinctive oval shape and iconic bronze glazing.

“There are just a handful of apartments left. Royale is nearly completed and when it’s unveiled, people will see that they have not experienced a property like it before,” says Mr Parsons.

Almost complete, Royale Gold Coast will be a landmark new building right by the water.

Sculptural design, perfect orientation

Royale Gold Coast rises 38 levels and has been designed to be both elegant and ambitious.

In a significant milestone for the project, it recently topped-out with the addition of its eye-catching architectural element, a 10-metre-high “crown” expertly designed by DKO and precision engineered by the experienced team at Hutchinson Builders.

Mr Parsons says the building is also designed to maximise views and light, with floor-to-ceiling glass and an ideal orientation.

“It’s turned to the north, which creates the benefit of not only giving all apartments a northern aspect, but also shielding them from southerly winds,” he says.

“This is very clever because some buildings on the beach can get very windy.”

Another feature of the apartments are the huge loggia-style balconies, designed to make the most of the Surfers Paradise sunshine and sweeping ocean views.

“The outdoor spaces have been designed as an outdoor living suit to accommodate a large table and chairs and sun lounges. You can furnish them beautifully,” Mr Parsons says.

The residences are Royale are designed to make the most of the sweeping ocean views.

What six-star beachfront living looks like day to day

Beachfront buyers don’t just want views, they also want a space to feel completely relaxed.

Mr Parsons says the three-and four-bedroom apartments and Beach Homes at Royale Gold Coast have expansive layouts and balconies, gourmet kitchens, butler’s pantries, walk-in robes, freestanding baths, secure car parking and additional storage areas.

“Everything has been intentionally designed around providing the premium lifestyle for the beachfront buyer,” he says.

Six-star beachfront living is also about wellbeing and happiness.

Mr Parsons says residents could wake up and have a fresh juice or coffee on their balcony, then head to one of the two exclusive on-site pools for a swim, followed by a relaxing steam, hot tub or cold plunge.

Or they could visit the fully equipped gymnasium before doing yoga on the terrace.

“Later, you can step right out the back door for a beach walk, then head up to the private Club Royale on level 1 and do some work in the executive offices,” he says.

“In the evening, you can have a drink at the private bar before going out to dinner, or book a chef to cook for you in the Cucina kitchen. You can then serve your guests in the 14-seat private dining room.”

Residents can also make the most of the barbecue areas for entertaining and can store their best wines in their designated wine cellar.

“When I talk about an exclusive, six-star private residence experience – this is it,” Mr Parsons says.

Features like the beach-view gym mean residents have access to the lifestyle of a six-star resort.

Exclusive and rare

For buyers interested in the absolute beachfront luxury offered at Royale Gold Coast, Mr Parsons says there are a handful of opportunities remaining.

These include a mix of three- and four-bedroom sky homes and beach homes, with prices starting from $5,460,000.

There are also two four-bedroom penthouses spanning 344sqm.

“As we approach completion, Royale Gold Coast stands out as one of the rarest beachfront opportunities on the market,” says Mr Parsons.

Buyers can book a visit to the display suite and walk through a half-floor 304 sqm Beach Home, while seeing the remaining apartments on offer.

Mr Parsons says owners can look forward to moving in this May.

“Our buyers have come from all over Australia, wanting that slice of Gold Coast absolute beachfront living. You literally walk out the back door of the building and 30 seconds later, your toes are in the sand,” he says.
