Australian music icon John Farnham has amassed a $25m net worth and an impressive property portfolio across Victoria as he officially steps away from live performance. The 77-year-old singing legend confirmed recently that he will never perform on stage again. Following lifesaving 12-hour surgery and facial reconstructions for oral cancer, the singer has retreated to his private estate in Melbourne’s outer northeast. “Because of the surgeries to my mouth and face over the past few years, singing on stage is not something I can consider again. It’s just not possible,” Farnham told The Herald Sun. Nicknamed “The Voice”, John Farnham built a music career spanning more than five decades. His 1986 album Whispering Jack remains the highest-selling record by an Australian domestic artist. Behind the chart-topping success, Farnham and his wife Jill Billman quietly built a multimillion-dollar real estate footprint across Victoria.
