Gitcha has signed an agreement with Hive MLS to bring its Buyer Listing Service to nearly 20,000 brokers and appraisers across six Southeastern states, the companies announced Wednesday. The deal brings the Buyer Listing Service, or BLS, to Hive’s wholesale cooperative marketplace, which serves more than 450 cities and towns in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee and Alabama, according to the announcement. Traditionally, multiple listing services have focused on for-sale inventory. The Gitcha-Hive partnership is designed to give members more structure and visibility around the other side of the transaction — buyer demand — by allowing real estate professionals to create and share standardized buyer profiles inside the MLS environment. “Being broker-centric means giving our members more ways to create business opportunities,” Daniel Jones, CEO of Hive MLS, said in the release. “Buyer demand is a big part of that.
