Photo: Getty Images Drew Barrymore has sold her 18th-century mansion in Westchester County, New York, for $US4.5m ($6.47m), after just two years of ownership. The sale closed Monday. The actor bought the Colonial house in Harrison for $US4.4m ($6.3m) in 2024 and listed it in March for $4.995 million with Kori Sassower of Compass, who also represented the buyer in the transaction. “Drew was very excited to sell it to the buyers, who are coming from the city,” Sassower said. “They plan to use it as she used it, as an escape from the city.” Barrymore, 51, had been looking for an alternative to the Hamptons for a weekend getaway in 2024 when she came across the rambling house, and felt a familial and spiritual connection, she told The Wall Street Journal when she listed it. Built in 1748, the 7,274-square-foot mansion required more work than Barrymore initially envisioned, so the family spent the next two years giving it a makeover. “Between Pinterest, thrifting and a can of paint, there’s nothing you can’t do,” Barrymore joked in her interview with the Journal.
