What was once a father’s dream family home has been placed up to auction after Cyclone Jasper wrecked a five-year renovation. Owner Joshua Rhodes said he was finally parting ways with his house at 101 Machan St, Machans Beach, which was originally designed and built by his late father. The tradie decided to renovate the five-bedroom home in 2019, and took the four-hour trip from his home in Bloomfield once a month to get the work done. The home was built in the 1980s by owner Joshua Rhodes’ father, who passed away two decades ago.
