The Banksia Park home at 15 Coulls Rd sold at the weekend. An empty and damaged home with a TikTok following that was offered to househunters who “aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves” has been snapped up following an auction. The Banksia Park property at 15 Coulls Rd sold for $730,000 on Saturday, after five years of being left vacant. It is a well-known home in the community – once for all the right reasons but now for all the wrong ones. It was an impressive two-storey Henley Homes residence when it was built in 1998 but decades of neglect left it in desperate need of “a lot of TLC”, according to selling agent Peter Brown, of LJ Hooker. It was snapped up for $730,000, property records show. The home has significant damage inside. The home was vacant for several years before it sold. It has termite and water damage, parts of the ceiling are missing in some rooms and general maintenance has been deferred for years. It also has a TikTik following as an “abandoned” Adelaide home, with video footage showing people walking through its interior strewn with furniture and other belongings.
