Construction milestone for Nundah’s new Art Deco tower as final apartments go on sale

Construction at Gardner Vaughan Group’s Danby Lane development in Nundah Village has reached a new milestone, with the 12-storey building now approaching level one as the structure begins to take shape.

The project, which features a two-level Art Deco facade, is expected to be completed by mid-2027, delivering 93 apartments along with retail and commercial space at the base of the building.

Since the project was first announced, strong buyer demand has seen the development move into its final release, with a limited selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments now available from $1.299m.

The final stage of the project also includes one remaining penthouse, priced at $3.65m.

Gardner Vaughan Group chief executive Simon Betteridge said the project had been designed to reflect the character and evolution of the Nundah precinct.

“Having called Nundah home for more than a decade, it was important for us that Danby Lane contributes to the ongoing revitalisation of the village,” he said.

“Our aim was to create more than just apartments, we wanted to deliver a development that connects with the community and enhances the local streetscape.”

Mr Betteridge said located about 9km north of Brisbane’s CBD, Danby Lane placed residents within easy reach of key employment hubs and transport infrastructure, while also being moments from the cafes, dining and retail offerings of Nundah Village.

“Residents are also close to major public transport connections and the future Toombul precinct redevelopment, which is expected to transform the former shopping centre site into a vibrant retail and lifestyle destination,” he said.

Completion of Gardner Vaughan Group’s Danby Lane at Nundah is expected in the middle of next year.


“Danby Lane is also located just minutes from Brisbane Airport, a major employment hub supporting thousands of aviation, logistics and tourism jobs.

“This proximity has contributed to consistently strong rental demand in the surrounding suburbs, particularly from airline staff, airport workers and professionals seeking easy access to the CBD and northern employment corridors.”

Mr Betteridge said recent property data showed units in Nundah achieved rental yields of around 4.3 to 4.9 per cent, with vacancy rates remaining extremely tight, highlighting the suburb’s strong appeal for investors seeking reliable rental demand.

“Looking ahead, Brisbane’s preparations for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games are expected to drive significant infrastructure investment across the city, further strengthening the appeal of well-located inner-north suburbs such as Nundah,” he said.

Over the past five years, the median unit price in Nundah has grown by around 85 per cent, according to the Domain House Price Report.

Momentum has continued more recently, with apartment values rising around 19.7 per cent in the past 12 months, highlighting sustained demand for well-located units in Brisbane’s inner north, based on CoreLogic housing statistics.
