Comedian Chelsea Handler bought Robert F. Kennedy, Jr’s LA home.
Chelsea Handler landed some low blows on the Kennedy family while describing her purchase of an “unlivable” Los Angeles home from Robert Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines during an appearance on late night TV.
The comedian appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and said after buying the couple’s nearly $6 million (AUD $8.7 million) home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, it took her four years to move due to “a lot of problems with the house”.
“I blame [RFK Jr.] that they didn’t get caught during inspection, and there was a lot of drama with the house,” the 51-year-old told Kimmel.
She said she only moved into the home a day prior, the New York Post reports.
Handler went on to bash the entire Kennedy clan, adding: “I have to stay away from the Kennedys in general.”
She commented on joining a skiing “disaster” with the family and said she took a sailboat ride with Kennedy matriarch Ethel.
“Believe me, it’s all verifiable. I’m not a liar,” the comedian said.

In discussing the property purchase, Handler doubled down on comments she made on her Dear Chelsea podcast, describing the sprawling five-bedroom home as “f**ked up” and branding the saga a “disaster”.
Later, on the Today show, she said she did not know she was buying the US Health Secretary’s home, as it was sold under a “blind trust”.
“I didn’t know I was buying it. I know that is laughable. You can laugh at me. I didn’t know I was buying it from RFK Jr.,” she said.

She told Kimmel that she discovered the sellers’ identities after Hines left her a note.
“’Thank you. We’re so excited you bought our house. Let us know if there’s anything we can do’,” the note read, according to Handler.
“Oh, no. I’m like, ‘I bought RFK Jr.’ He’s like the one person in the world that I would flag whose house not to buy,” she joked.
“They’ve done enough, all those losers,” Handler added.
