Brisbane’s median weekly rent has hit a new peak, with exclusive data revealing renters are paying $2600 more each year compared to 12 months ago. The latest realestate.com.au Rental Report, released today, found Brisbane’s median weekly rent reached a new peak of $700 per week in September, marking a 0.7 per cent rise over the quarter. 22 Skyview Ave, Rochedale is up for rent at $1320 per week. Annually, Brisbane rent prices are up 7.7 per cent – an additional $2600 per year for renters compared to September, 2025. The vacancy rate in Brisbane sat at 1.1 per cent in September, up 0.2 per cent over the quarter. Brisbane houses recorded 2.9 per cent rent growth compared to units, which recorded a 2.3 per cent increase over the September quarter. But annually, units (+7.2 per cent) outpaced houses (+6.7 per cent) for rent price growth.
