Young buyers pushed out of major cities are finding sweet spots of affordability where they can get into the market earlier and also get ahead, according to new research. While there are many signs to say prospective buyers have given up on the Australian dream of owning a home, this data points to pockets of the market where under-35s are buying earlier and seeing growth. The findings from Ray White Economist Atom Go Tian spotlit 30 suburbs across the country not only attracting young buyers, but outperforming their wider market over the last decade. Mr Go Tian said he wanted to use the research to show there is still opportunity, spotlighting not only the suburbs where young buyers can enter the market sooner, but where they are also taking advantage of that growth and growing quicker than the rest of the market, which sets them up for their future. “The sentiment I feel as a young buyer myself is there’s nowhere to buy and you just have to settle as a renter,” he said. “The story that I found with the data – is that there are buyers who are actually taking action in the market now and entering before everyone else and as a result of that early action they’re growing not just the...
