1 Loch Court, Bentleigh East, sold far above expectations in a busy auction. Fresh paint and repolished floorboards were part of about $20,000 in home improvements and styling that helped turn a Bentleigh East auction into a $122,500 blow out last weekend. The result was that the owner of 1 Loch Court got about five times their investment back as their home went under the hammer. A $1.25m asking price for the home had been a realistic target for the current market, according to Buxton’s Chris Hassall. Mr Hassall only got a chance to call the home on the market around $1.3m as a buyer’s advocate, and a real estate agent bidding on behalf of another party traded high-priced bids with a couple hoping to claim the keys.
