Award-winning film producer Warwick Ross who sold a Bellevue Hill mansion for close to $50m earlier in the year has bought his next glamorous home with movie-star good looks.

The home sold 10 days ago via Alexander Phillips of PPD.
The vendors were the former Allianz boss George Sartorel and his wife, Kathy, who’d bought the luxury residence on a 547sqm block for $15.05m just two years ago.
The home already had good bones, having been designed by the acclaimed architect Michael Suttor, but the Sartorels commissioned interior designer of the moment, Tamsin Johnson, for a lavish fitout.
It now reeks of the the type of showbiz style that would impress the likes of Ross.
As the realestate.com.au spiel advises: “A grand 1920s manor has been reborn through the creative lens of celebrated designer Tamsin Johnson, whose globally informed aesthetic brings bold pattern, sculptural form and a touch of whimsy to every detail.”
“Lustrous” marble and chevron French Oak abounds.
Warwick Ross has made a documentary about the Bordeaux wine region and the impact of chinese growth upon global wine production.

The place sounds as though it’s straight out of a Hollywood set.
“The three-storey home unfolds to a private poolside entertaining haven while a sunset terrace is perfect for cocktail hour.”
Although considerably smaller, it’s reminiscent of their former mansion at 78 Kambala Rd, Bellevue Hill which sold for $48,499,999 via William Manning and Luke Hogan of McGrath in March.
That was a six-bedroom French Provincial style home on a 1567sqm block with a pool and panoramic views that sold in a matter of days.
Ross, who had also been a production assistant in the Brooke Shields film Blue Lagoon in the 1980s, had owned the Bellevue Hill mansion since 1996 when it was purchased for $3.27m.
Soon after, they did a major restoration and renovation of the grand home — including adding the Hollywood-style pool. They’d added the garage with studio above in 2008.
More recently, Warwick did created an award-winning documentary about the Bordeaux wine region and the impact of Chinese growth upon global wine production.
