SA’s fastest-selling suburbs reveal a new norm. Buyers aren’t wasting any time snapping up affordable homes, with new data revealing properties in South Australia’s fastest selling locations are overwhelmingly units. Just five of the top 20 suburbs and towns with the lowest median days on market were for houses, latest PropTrack figures show. Traditionally houses dominate the list, usually in popular and tightly-held areas. Most of the areas on the list also had median prices below $900,000, which Ray White SA chief executive Matt Lindblom said was the affordability threshold for many. “Anything under $900,000 – that’s attractive to first-home buyers, investors, mum and dad investors,” he said.
