Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist and prolific property investor Flea has brought his “extraordinary” Malibu sanctuary back to the market for $11.3 million ($US7.99 million) inside one of California’s most exclusive beachfront enclaves. Flea, 63, whose real name is Michael Balzary, purchased the elegant estate, which is tucked behind the 24/7 guarded gates of Malibu Colony, for $10.7 million ($US7.55 million) in October 2020, just a few months before offloading another Malibu abode, Realtor reports. Three years later, he offered the four-bedroom dwelling up for rent — with an asking price of $106,000 ($US75,000) a month. In March of this year, Balzary decided to part ways with the property altogether, listing it for $12 million ($US8.5 million) with Sandro Dazzan of The Agency, before reducing the price to just below $11.3 million ($US8 million) at the end of July — an ask that makes it one of the “best priced houses in Malibu Colony,” according to the listing.
