An Australian woman who ditched her six-figure salary and dreams of buying a home to move into a share house a slow her life down says she has never been happier. Sarame Cornish was climbing the corporate ladder in Sydney and earning $150,000 a year when she abruptly quit and up-ended her life in 2023. The 33-year-old was working long hours and sacrificing her happiness for a homeownership dream that become unattainable in the current market. Up until 2023, Ms Cornish thought she was on the right track – money, house, marriage, family. Her life for the last three years, she says, has shown her she couldn’t have been more wrong.
