Charli Robinson was a very popular original member of Hi-5.
Hi-5 star Charli Robinson is quietly living the ultimate suburban high life with her richlist racing car driver partner Liam Talbot in a home described as the “James Bond house”.
The original Hi-5 star has been living the suburban dream in a $5.1m home in Chandler, Brisbane, which this month became the second most expensive suburb in the Queensland capital (median price $3.41m).

Now the young family is set for small windfall with the sale of a property inherited by Mr Talbot – who is the son and heir to Queensland mining richlister Ken Talbot, who passed away in a plane crash in the Congo in 2010.
The couple’s Brisbane home base was bought by Mr Talbot in 2019, almost a year after daughter Kensingston was born – with some of the perks being it has a massive 16 car park spaces, a separate two bedroom apartment for guests, wine cellar and privacy galore sitting on over 1 hectare of land.
It was designed “as a place of respite and recharge, an escape from the everyday and a portal into another world”.
At the time Mr Talbot also owned another property in Carindale that he then sold for $925,000 three months before daughter Theadora was born in 2020.
It’s a far cry from Ms Robinson’s whirlwind life as one of the original members of the hit children’s group Hi-5, something Mr Talbot told QWeekend he was clueless about when the couple first met.
Ms Robinson thinks that was a good thing for them both: “I think it’s good you didn’t know anything about Hi-5 and I didn’t anything about you. So then when we met, there was no preconceived ideas and that’s why I reckon it worked,” she said.

Even their children seem to have no idea of just how famous their mother was as a key member of the child entertainment group from 1998 to 2008.
“I think one of the funniest things that the girls do for me is when we’re driving along and I’ll sing along with songs and they tell me to stop singing because I’m ruining the song, but we were actually singing to Hi-5 so it’s my voice. Oh my God, seriously, children.”
Now the family seems set to make a small fortune off the sale of a property inherited from Mr Talbot’s father’s estate amassed after the wide success of Macarthur Coal where Ken Talbot was major shareholder.
The five bedroom home is set on a double block in Bulimba’s Quay Street, a coveted area for developers. It had been bought for $181,723 in September 1999, and was listed for rent a decade ago at $900 a week.
The Bulimba property is on a double block.
The area has been a hunting ground for developers and families looking for redevelopment sites.
It currently has a valuation estimate of as much as $3.22m, but given the potential for redevelopment and scarcity of riverside properties coming to market, it could fetch more in Brisbane’s sizzling market.
For the couple, the daily schedule continues with Ms Robinson still on television with Getaway and the couple actively involved in activities linked to their children.
Ms Robinson revealed her Hi-5 time was coming in handy for their girls. “L-O-V-E is how they learn to spell love, I’m still working on o-p-p-o-s-i-t-e but there’s a Hi-5 song for everything you do in your day.”
