The 1.96ha Bordertown facility, capable of storing 36,200mt of grain, is still classified as an “active receival site’’, having been operational during the 2025/26 harvest. However, Bunge has confirmed the Bordertown facility will no longer play a role in its operational network and now forms part of a regionally diverse portfolio of grain storage sites it has listed for sale through a public tender process. Other silos listed for sale are Tintinara and Coomandook, in the state’s upper south east, Geranium and Wunkar, in the Murray Mallee, and Murdinga, on the Eyre Peninsula.
