There were 77 suburbs where median house or unit prices increased by more than $300,000 in the past 12 months, the data shows, contrasting with slower conditions seen across many markets.The list includes once-affordable suburbs where strong demand has pushed prices beyond the million-dollar mark, as well premium markets where even modest growth can result in big dollar gains.The outstanding price gains in these suburbs came despite a series of interest rate rises and property tax changes that have upended home price growth across much of Australia.In 47 of these suburbs, median sale prices increased by the equivalent of at least $1000 per day – more than three times what the average adult worker earns from their job.Pricey suburbs of Sydney, such as Manly on the northern beaches, recorded some of the largest increases in median house prices in the past year.
