Akuna, at 20 Wolseley Rd, Point Piper, has been listed for sale with hopes of $70m-$75m.
The buyers of Elizabeth Bay’s Boomerang, which has just settled for $80m, have quietly listed Akuna, their former waterfront mansion in Point Piper.
Property investor Hoang Trang Do took the keys last week of the Spanish Mission treasure Boomerang previously owned by the family of trucking billionaire Lindsay Fox since 2005 when they paid $20m.
That mega $80m deal was done by Paul Biller and Ben Torban of Biller Property, who confirmed that sale but had no comment about the sale of Akuna.
But other sources said the same agents are representing Hoang Trang Do for the sale of the investor’s previous mansion on the Point Piper harbourfront.
Biller and Torban are known to be showing buyers through the grand property on Wolseley Rd off-market, quoting a $70m to $75m guide.

It’s on a 758 sqm block fronting Seven Shillings Beach.
Given it is only six weeks to Christmas, if the sold sign does go up at Akuna soon, it would likely be Sydney’s last big sale of 2025. In what has been a very interesting year for observers of the top end of the Harbour City’s property market. Highlighted by the top sale of the year, thus far, of a Rose Bay home for $82.5m last month.
Well below the more than $100m the vendor had wanted for the home, which has been on the market for years.
Akuna, designed by Richard Christian and Walter Bardo and detailed by Michael Love and Thomas Hamel, is most famous for its heritage Chinese-style pagoda boathouse.
The lavish five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence with four-car garage and pool is on a 758 sqm block fronting Seven Shillings Beach.
Among its many attractions are the uninterrupted point-blank views across the harbour to the Bridge and Opera House.
The property investor has owned it for just two years, buying it for $60m from former Sydney FC chairman Scott Barlow and his socialite wife Alina.

Hollywood glamour.
The $60m deal represented a $15m profit for the Barlows, who’d bought Akuna for $45m the year before from Big Band maestro Warren Daly and his author and fitness guru wife, Karen.
And that $45m price was considered a great price at the time, being nearly six times the $7.75m purchase price the couple paid in 1997 for what had been the home of the late grocer John David.
Hoang Trang Do and his family have reportedly been linked to more than $280m worth of recent real estate purchases.
But the purchase of Boomerang, which sits on 4,233sqm of waterfront land, is quite an upgrade.
The Spanish Mission-style abode, often associated with Hollywood glamour, features 25 rooms including a private cinema modelled on the State Theatre.
It has a grand entry foyer and an ornate garden.
