Coral Tree Cottage in Whale Beach, on Sydney’s northern beaches, is an original 1950s P&O home and one of the early homes of the exclusive suburb. The pair are well-known in the Pittwater area and have deep connections to the top end of the peninsula. All three of their children were born while the couple were living at the home. The couple wrote, directed and starred in the movie Palm Beach in 2019 and they have owned property in the area for more than 40 years. Now the rambling cottage with its ocean views and casual bohemian vibe is for sale as the couple spend more time in their inner west Sydney home and at their beef cattle farm in the Nambucca Valley. The couple met on the film set of The Thorn Birds, starring Richard Chamberlain, in 1982, wed a year later in England and began married life back in Australia in the Whale Beach cottage.
